The Midnight Express
A mysterious midnight train. Unlikely companions. A supernatural journey beyond the last terminal.

The Midnight Express is an original urban supernatural story following commuters who board an unscheduled spectral train line that weaves between forgotten city memories and astral crossroads.
The Line That Runs When the City Sleeps
At 12:01 AM, every digital display on Platform 9 flickers to a deep amber hue. The standard transit timetable clears, replaced by a single handwritten glyph: *The Midnight Line*.
Ren never planned to catch it. He was merely an apprentice cartographer carrying a satchel of ink-washed city maps. Yet when the midnight whistle sounded—a pitch that felt closer to a silver flute than steam iron—the iron gates drifted open without a key.
Unlikely Companions
Inside Coach Three, the plush velvet seats hummed with soft luminescence. Sitting across from Ren was a traveler whose trench coat bore embroidered constellation patterns, and perched atop luggage rack three was a tiny winged creature with ears like a desert hare.
"Tickets aren't bought with coin here," the conductor remarked, stamping Ren's card with a crescent imprint. "They are surrendered in exchange for memories you are ready to let go."
Beyond the Last Terminal
As the train climbed higher along the elevated railway, the city grid below dissolved into luminous purple rivers of light. Towers of ancient masonry mingled with floating sky-bridges. It was clear this train didn't move across geographic coordinates; it traversed forgotten timelines.
Each carriage held a riddle. Coach Five smelled of rain on summer asphalt. Coach Seven was an endless library where volumes rearranged themselves based on who glanced at their bindings.
Ren looked at his compass. The needle spun freely, pointing not to magnetic north, but toward whatever mystery lay at terminus zero.
